Air Asia : The desperate sign !

Air Asia group chief executive officer Datuk Tony Fernandez slammed on "Business Turn Around Plan" launched by Malaysia Airlines managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Idris Jala. Air Asia called on Malaysia Airlines to keep the competition fair and healthy and not to take toys from its playground. The sounds reflect desperation. But, what's the yardstick of "fair and healthy competition"?. Does MAS have to suffer bankruptcy at first then it would be regarded as fair competition?

In the same time, he harshly had thrown a challenge on MAS to deny allegations that international flight subsidies had been diverted to fund the national carrier's Everyday Low Fares product. However it had been denied by MAS executive director and chief financial officer Tengku Datuk Azmil Zahruddin. "Facts speak for itself".

Besides, Air Asia also keeps questioning the MAS transformation to turn into a low-cost carrier instead of being the premium airline it was set up to be. What's the problem then? It is part and parcel of business strategies.

MAS has had trading rights that to be respected by other carriers in order to revive the golden age of "MAS domination" during the reign of Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman. All in all, I look forward to seeing the best solution between them and success of MAS transformation.

"GOOD LUCK FOR MALAYSIA AIRLINES"

About the 'open debate' between Tony and Idris Jala, I think it is unnecessory...there should be a 'grand debate' first between Anwar and Pak Lah first...
